- As much as I like Twitter, I simply haven't been impressed with their architecture. It shows to customers as downtime, but as a developer, I also know they simply don't follow good development practices.

- As a long-time Linux user (since 1997) and recent Mac user (May 2007), I have to say that Microsoft doesn't have much to offer me. I was kind of excited about Monad Shell and WinFS, but they ended up pulling both from the Vista release (Monad is available, but has security issues, apparently).

- Good article. I've been watching the "palmtop" market for some time, and remain non-plussed. Here's the problem: we all want a tiny device. I mean, really tiny. It would be great if our computing solution were the size of a paperclip, for example.
